Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa Flow is a dynamic style of yoga and refers to the synchronisation of breath with movement. Derived from Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa flow incorporates many of the same postures but the order and variance of the postures often change. Postures flow into another to the rhythm of the breath making it a quickly paced, more fluid and more creative practice.
Iyengar Yoga
Iyengar Yoga is based on the precise alignment of the body in different postures. A wide selection of props (blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets and chairs) are used to support practitioners of all levels regardless of flexibility or age in feelingl the benefit of the various postures. This practice is accessible to all and all equipment is provided by Indrani Lodge.
Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga refers to the practice of physical yoga postures and is a general category that includes most yoga styles. It is an old system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation. The word “hatha” can be translated two ways: as “willful” or “forceful,” or the yoga of activity, and as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha), the yoga of balance. In most cases Hatha classes are relatively gentle, slow and great for beginners or students who prefer a more relaxed style where they hold poses longer.
PRENATAL YOGA
Prenatal Yoga Prénatal is a special moment of connexion to ourself and to the baby. It's a class where the future mama can stretch, move, and anchor in security. It's scientifically proven that prenatal yoga has a number of benefits for the health. A lot of people discover yoga while they are pregnant because they are looking for a way to relieve tensions and discomforts and to keep moving which is adviced during pregnancy. This class is also the opportunity to connect with other future mamas.
MeditatioN AND BREATH
Our guided meditation practices are inspired by ancient traditions modernised to suit our current and Occidental way of life. In general meditation contributes to a feeling of well-being, relaxation, an increased capacity for concentration, improved sleep, heightened creativity and immunity and a better body-heart-mind balance.
Pilates
Pilates is a focused practice that contributes to physical and mental well-being. In a precise, supported manner this discipline mobilises, reinforces and stretches all the muscles of the body. A regular practice will allow the practitioner to increase strength, muscle tone and flexibility as well as develop a more harmonious posture free of tension.
